Since I posted up Part I on Autoclassica, the event’s main organiser; Peter Barclay got in contact to assure me that the chaos will not ensue for next year, with stepped up security and tighter restrictions as far as the bicycle issue goes. As with a lot of events though when done for the first time, you never know what to expect – especially with those which are free to attend and open to all – but fortunately for Autoclassica, these issues popping their head up early, just means that they can be addressed early and the event can continue, only being made better for years to come.
It’s definitely one happening which I’ll be adding to my calendar for next year, and hopefully for many more after that.
Above: A pair of the six Weber carburettors fitted to the V12 in the engine bay of a Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2.
Above & Below: The same 365 GT4 was finished in a dark metallic green hue exterior, providing a striking contrast to the plush caramel leather and wood grain combination of the interior.
Below: I’ll finish with a few photos of different seat materials and styles, just because. Next up will be a couple of spotlights from Autoclassica, featuring an AC and a De’tomaso so keep a look out for those in the coming weeks.
